Tags¶
Tags are the primary way to categorise time entries in Stundu. A tag is a short label — a client name, a type of work, a project code, anything meaningful to you. Tags are also the attachment point for billing rates: if a tag has a rate set, every entry carrying that tag is billed at that rate.
Add a tag¶
- Go to the Tags tab.
- Type a name in the input field at the top.
- Pick a colour with the colour picker next to the field.
- Click Add.
The tag appears in the list and becomes available in the timer's tag selector.
Use tags on entries¶
Timer: select a tag from the dropdown before or after typing your description. The selected tag is saved with the entry when you stop the timer.
Entry editor: open any entry with the pencil icon. The tags field accepts multiple tags — existing ones are suggested as you type, and you can press ++enter++ to create a new one on the spot.
An entry can carry one tag selected from your tag list and any number of additional free-text tags.
Rename or delete a tag¶
Each tag row has an edit (pencil) icon and a delete button. The delete button requires a press-and-hold for one second — this prevents accidental deletion.
Warning
Deleting a tag removes it from the tag list but does not delete the time entries that carry it. Those entries remain in your history with the tag name preserved.
Billing rates on tags¶
Each tag can have a billing rate attached to it. When you run a billing report, entries are billed at the rate of their tag. See Billing rates for details on setting flat rates, after-hours multipliers, and expression-based rules.
Workspaces¶
A workspace is an isolated container for entries, tags, and billing rates. Your personal workspace is always available. You can create additional shared workspaces for teams.
Create a workspace¶
Click the workspace switcher button (stacked layers icon) in the header, then choose New workspace…. Give it a name and click Create. You are automatically the owner.
Switch workspaces¶
Click the workspace switcher button and select any workspace from the list. The active workspace is applied to all timer and entry operations immediately.
Invite members¶
In a shared workspace, owners and managers can invite others via an invite link:
- Click the workspace switcher → Workspace settings.
- Go to the Invites tab.
- Choose single-use or multi-use, set an expiry, and click Create invite.
- Copy the link and share it. When the recipient opens the link, they are added as a member.
